An author centric approach to SDL Web 8

An author centric approach to SDL Web 8

Yale School of Medicine have been a long time client of SDL, and have a large base and varied base of content editors and websites. One common frustration for the editors has been how complex the authoring process has been using the SDL Web 8 user interface. In a recent project to launch a new content driven medical information and news site, the School of Medicine set out to develop a custom editorial experience, focusing on how their users actually work on a day to day basis. In this session we will talk about the reasoning behind the approach, the technical architecture of using a task-oriented Web API layer to expose core SDL functionalities to a custom interface, and real-world experiences of implementing such a project.
